We hebben nog een Vlaamse fotoreportage voor jullie van Danny. Daarvoor zien we een New Holland FR920, twee Claas Jaguar 960 en een Krone Big X 1180. Met trekkers van NH, Fendt en Case IH zijn er dus zeker veel verschillende merkten te zien.
De grote Nederlandse buitenbeurs in Liempde wordt in dit nummer gecoverd. De 'Werktuigendagen' waren destijds een plek met veel nieuws. Verder zien we veel nieuwe machines en wordt uitgeweid over de bedrijfshistorie van Schuitemaker in Rijssen.
Na alle buitenlandse musea hebben we nog één laatste stop en die is dichter bij huis. Eind december is traditiegetrouw het Boerenmuseum van 'Pake Titus' in Raerd geopend. Liefhebbers van International Harvester kunnen er hun hart ophalen.
Vlak voor de kerstdagen was het nog een drukte van belang in Flevoland bij de akkerbouwers. De laatste suiker- en voederbieten gingen uit de grond, voor een vorstperiode. En ook werd er aan het ploegen en woelen gedaan na de oogst.
De laatste foto's van 2025 voor Ronald. Terwijl de werkzaamheden in het veld op zijn einde liepen was elders nog wel actie te beleven. Zo worden slootkanten gemaaid en zien we Aanstoot-Pekkeriet bezig met het versnipperen van hout in het bos.
De mei-editie van Landbouwmechanisatie heeft een Italiaans tintje. Zo werd de vakbeurs Eima in Bologna bezocht en bracht de redactie en bezoek aan de Landini- fabriek. In West-Brabant wordt ondertussen een demonstratie wortelrooien gehouden.
Dutch farmers are known worldwide for their trike conversion of farm tractors. This has two big advantages. 1: the soil is equally compacted across the full width of the machine and 2: it is very manoeuvrable on the headlands of the field. You can see both of these points during this video. In this case a New Holland T7.270 is converted in to a trike configuration. Both front wheels are hydraulically driven and thanks to the dual rear wheels the tractor is 4.5m wide. Onion sets (or set onions) are being planted here using a Warrens Delta Planter mounted on the back of a Maschio power harrow. The outfit is 4.5m wide as well, planting two 2.25m wide beds per pass. These onions are planted late January and can be harvested late June or early July, depending on the growing season. The field of light and fertile silt soil, where a cover crop has been growing, is first ploughed using a second New Holland T7.245 and 6 furrow Pöttinger reversible plough. The machinery belongs to large scale Dutch arable farm Firma van Es, located in the South West of the Netherlands.
In this second instalment we look at autumn 2025 and work that is progressing on the fields of the Netherlands. Crops are harvested such as sugar beet and tulips bulbs are planted. Also most fields are ploughed in the final months of the year. Conditions this year were especially favourable. This video features modern farm machinery. Tractors from brand such as Fendt, John Deere and Case IH but also specialist harvesting machinery from Vervaet, Grimme, SU Tech and implements from Lemken, Kuhn, Amazone and more. There are also some shots taken in the UK.
