Red Beet Bull - Grimme Rexor 6300 *NEW* | Sugar beet harvest 2025

German machinery manufacturer Grimme is demonstrating its newest en biggest sugar beet harvester in the Netherlands this autumn, in co-operation with local dealerships. Here Otto Barkhuis Mechanisatie is demonstrating the machine at contracting company Schoenmaker Agri in Vlagtwedde, Groningen. The second generation Rexor 6300 was launched in 2024 by Grimme. The most notable improvements, apart from a new styling, are the use of the Claas X11 cab, a 45m³ bunker capacity and new arm rest controls. Many details have been improved to make life easier for the operator. One interesting detail is the use of PE plastic as covers inside the bunker. The manufacturer claims this reduces damage to the beet and less loose tips. With its 34 tonne dry weight, 15.6m length and 653 HP engine this really is a behemoth.

American muscle | Rare 2+2 International 3788 'Snoopy' at work | Pure sound

This short video features an International 3788 2+2 articulated 4WD tractor at work, pulling down ploughed land using a Michael Moore Moles press. The tractor, which is known under a variation of nicknames such as Snoopy, Ant Eater and Snake, was only sold at selected European markets originally. This makes it a rare tractor on this side of the Atlantic. This 3788 is a recent US import. The original 2+2 design was launched in 1979 by the International Harvester Company. It comprises of an 86 Series backend, Control Cab, Category III hitch and DT-436B or DT-446B engine. This pushed out 157 or 177 PTO horsepower. The turning point is in front of the cab, which was done so it could straddle crop rows in crops such as maize (corn) or soya beans for example. In 1980 the two model line up was joined by the heavier 3788 model, which pushed out 170.5 PTO HP from the same 446 engine, coupled to a 12 speed semi-powershift gearbox. This tractor was only produced for 2 years and it is believed that less than 2.500 examples were produced during that time. The model was replaced by the updated 6788 in 1983. Some heavier 7288 and 7488 models were developed and build, but production was soon halted after Tenneco purchased IH in 1984. The 2+2 line up was by no means a strong seller, but it did fill a gap in the market and found a following. Today they have become collectors' tractors.

Preparing for next season | Valtra T235 & T234 | Kuhn ploughing & drilling

The finish of one season also means the start of another for arable farmers. Here two Valtra tractors are at work ploughing a stubble field and drilling it with Kuhn machinery. A 271 HP T235 is ploughing with a new Kuhn Challenger 8 furrow semi-mounted plough. This is followed by a T234, on Soucy tracks, with Kuhn fronttank, 5m power harrow and conventional seed drill. This machinery is owned by Dutch arable farm Minderhoudhoeve, that regularly feature on this Youtube channel. We hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of ploughing, cultivations and drilling.

Mountain farming | Gras harvest in the Austrian Alps | Reform, Muli, Deutz-Fahr

Early September Austrian farmers in the Salzburg State were taking advantage of some nice weather to gather in the second cut of the season. We see 2 farms gathering in their haylage crops on some very steep hills. In the background is a fantastic scenery with lowland and high Alpine peaks. First the grass is raked using a Reform Metrac H7 X tool carrier with a Molon front belt rake. The second farm is using a Deutz-Fahr Agroplus 100 and Krone rotary rake on some less steep ground. The grass is picked up using forage wagons. A Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 6135C TTV with Pöttinger Trend II forage wagon and a Reform Muli T8 S self propelled forage wagon. This grass is unloaded on to the road and baled by a Fendt 728 Vario Gen7 and McHale Fusion 3 Plus. As the fields are so steep, this tractor cannot work in the fields.

The Red Revolution | Case IH AF10 | Launch @ Belvoir Estate

This summer, Case IH launched their AF9 and AF10 combine harvesters in Europe. This follows the introduction of their yellow brothers from New Holland, that were introduced last year. These are the biggest combine harvesters offered by Case IH to date and a completely new design. The AF11 is not offered for sale in Europe, as it is a red version of the New Holland CR11, with its twin rotor design. The AF9 and AF10 feature a single rotor, which have been a distinctive feature of the Axial-Flow since International Harvester launched their first machine in 1977. The AF10 displayed in this video uses a 775 HP C16 FPT engine, making it fall in the class 10 category. It has a 20,000L grain tank and single AFXL rotor for threshing and separation. This measures 367 x 76.2 cm. The machine uses a 45ft (13.5M) MacDon draper flex header, although a 51ft version is also available. The AF10 weighs just over 23 tonnes when empty. Case IH and Sharmans Agriculture LTD introduced the new combine at Belvoire Estate in Leicestershire early August 2025. Another current product, the smaller Axial-Flow 7160 Xflow, was also on display.

Going big with small bales | Straw baling small square bales & Arcusin bundler

High capacity straw baling into small square bales with 2 combinations: New Holland TS 115 and Case IH Maxxum 115, both with Massey Ferguson 1840 balers. The bales are then bundled into larger packs using a John Deere 6420S and brand new Arcusin Multipack E14. Two Valtra tractors can be seen loading the packs of bales. The Arcusin is shown first in hay and then straw, when all machines came together in 1 field on a lovely summer evening. The baling equipment and Valtras belong to Dutch company Fourage.nl. The best combine ever build? | 2x New Holland Clayson 8080 | Classic wheat harvest

If there was a competition for the best combine in the world, the New Holland Clayson 8080 would be a strong contender. Especially in Europe but also other parts of the world it has always been a popular machine and it continues to be a machine in demand, especialy for export markets. The top model 8080 is still capable of a good days harvest, as these 2 examples show. They might not be the prettiest but they get the job done and are paid for. New Holland launched the all-new 8000 series in 1976 with the 8080 model. It became available the following year. It was quite a step up from the previous 1550 model and supported headers of up to 20 feet (6 meter) in Europe. It could be ordered with a Ford, Fiat or Mercedes Benz engine. These 2 have the last option. On the first generation it produced 175 HP from an OM 401 engine. Later an OM 421 was fitted which developed 205 HP. Hydrostatic drive was standard and threshing carried out by a 156x60cm drum followed by 6 straw walkers for separation. One of these machines has a 20ft header whereas the other one has the 15ft option. These combines are NOT for sale and enquires are not appreciated!

Ten Hove Contracting 2025 | Lots of new equipment | Grass, slurry, sprayer & more

There is a lot of new equipment to show at Dutch contracting company Ten Hove for this year. We follow the team during the first half of 2025. The season starts with an open day followed by the first application of slurry, using a brand-new Betec umbilical outfit. Early May it's time for the first cut of grass silage. A new Krone Big X has been purchased and all forage wagons + additional help are at work. As the crops grow their new Horsch Leeb sprayer comes in to action.

Classic Claas Mercator 75 cuts his 46th season | Classic combine harvester

A lot of classic Claas combines are still going strong. This Mercator 75 was new in 1979 and has completed its 46th harvest. Here it is cutting a field of winter barley in the South West of the Netherlands. The original Mercator was introduced by Claas in 1967 as the second-largest of the range. This updated Mercator 75 followed in 1975, which compared to the previous Mercator 70 has a straw accelerator. It is powered by a 105 HP Mercedes-Benz OM 352 engine and has a 420cm (14 ft) header. Other engine types from Deutz, Ford and Perkins were also available. The drum measures 125x45cm and it has 4 straw walkers. Ultimately, it was replaced by the stronger Dominator 76.
